Buc Days Valero High School Welding Competition

This event was originated in 2006 to promote and foster the welding profession among high school students and to promote the work of the students at the annual Buc Days BBQ Cook off. 12 area welding teams will design, build and display their BBQ Pits at this year's competition.

The winning teams will be awarded scholarship money for members of their program. And, participating high school teams will also raise money for their school's metal technologies programs through the sale of raffle tickets before and during the event. The BBQ pits will be raffled off during the BBQ Cook Off Award Presentation at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 23rd outside of the American Bank Center at the BBQ main stage.
